Annual Arsenal of Democracy Corporate Awards Luncheon
Held at the Detroit Athletic Club on 18 October for the purpose of great networking and professional development opportunity.
This year’s key-note speaker was Mr. David J. Albritton, Executive Director Global Product Development Communications, General Motors Company. Early in his career, Albritton spent 10 years as an officer in the U.S. Navy, which included service aboard the USS Portland (LSD 37) during Desert Shield/Desert Storm. He also served in the Pentagon as an official Navy Spokesman on the Navy News Desk and as the Flag Lieutenant / Aide for the U.S. Navy’s Chief of Information, a two-star admiral. Albritton holds a B.S. degree from the U.S. Naval Academy as well as a M.S. in Management from the Naval Postgraduate School.
Also present was LTG (R) Patricia E. McQuistion, who joined the staff of the Association of the United States Army, after completing 35 years of uniformed service in a variety of positions primarily in logistics and supply chain solutions. She finished her Army career as the deputy commanding general for the Army Materiel Command and senior commander of Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. As a general officer, she commanded the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, headquartered at Rock Island, Illinois, the 21st Theater Sustainment Command for U.S. Army-Europe and Seventh Army in Kaiserslautern, Germany, and the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime Supply Chains in Columbus, Ohio. She has served in numerous command and staff assignments in Hawaii, Germany, Virginia, Kansas, Texas, Egypt, Pennsylvania, and Kuwait, (plus three tours at the Pentagon). She is a life member of AUSA. LTG (R) Patricia E. McQuistion, Vice President for Membership and Meetings at AUSA in Arlington, VA. represented GEN Carter Ham in his absence; installed CSM(R) Doug Gibbens as the Second Region President.
We were honored with having join us, the most recent Medal of Honor awardee LTC (R) Charle Kettles of Ypsilanti, MI.
