Annual Breakfast Meeting

28 April 2016 @ 7:30 am - 10:00 am

The Arsenal of Democracy Chapter, Association of the United States Army, is pleased to announce its Breakfast Meeting on Thursday, 28 April 2016, 0730-1000 hours at the Macomb Community College (MCC), John Lewis Center in Warren, MI. The Breakfast Meeting is in collaboration with the Michigan National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) Chapter’s Michigan Defense Exposition (MDEX) Event.

Our guest speaker is Lieutenant General Jerry Sinn, US Army Retired, Vice President of Finance & Administration and the Corporate Treasurer of AUSA.

Lieutenant General Sinn, USA Ret., is responsible for all financial aspects of the Association and the day-to-day operations of the national headquarters. He coordinates with the Finance and Audit Committee on the budget and audit processes, and counsels the Association’s leadership on financial matters. General Sinn is also responsible for AUSA’s accounting, personnel, administrative services, and the operations of the headquarters building.

Beginning in 2012 General Sinn co-owned and operated Quadrate, LLC. a business focused on providing engineering, project management, and business development services. From 2007 to 2012, General Sinn served as a Senior Vice President, Land Warfare Strategy and Planning for DRS Technologies, Inc. and then as President, DRS Technologies Tactical Systems Group, an operating company with subordinate elements in the United Kingdom, Florida, Alabama, & Missouri. The company developed and manufactured platform electronics, prognostic & diagnostic equipment, radars, electrical power generating equipment, tactical vehicles (Armored Knight and Joint Assault Bridge), heavy loading equipment for the Air Force, and electronic displays.

Prior to joining DRS Technologies, General Sinn spent 30+ years in the US Army. During that time he had typical command and staff assignments from company through brigade. As a general officer he served as the Assistant Chief of Staff Resource Management, Army Materiel Command; Director of Operations & Support, Assistant Secretary of the Army for Financial Management & Comptroller; Commanding General of the North Atlantic Division, Army Corps of Engineers; Director of the Army Budget; and as the Military Deputy for Budget.

General Sinn will speak about the 2017 President’s Budget, the 2019 Program Objective Memorandum expectations, status of the initiative to mitigate or eliminate sequestration, and key takeaways from the National Commission on the Future of the Army Report.
